Get 8 hours of sleep a night
Be on time
Get 1% better at something every day

Work Hard and Be Strong Mentally
•The perfect basketball player doesn’t exist
•You CANNOT prevent ALL physical mistakes
•You CAN LIMIT THE MENTAL MISTAKES
•Do not compound a physical mistake with a mental mistake(s)
•Body language will affect yourself and your teammates
•You can be serious, compete fiercely while having a smile on your face, and still have fun
•Compete on every possession
•Hate to lose more than you love to win
•“HEAD UP! SHOULDERS BACK! CHEST OUT!”

What other players or coaches say
What “could have happened”
“There's no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist. You could be anyone or anything if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that's that. I am not talented. I am obsessed.”
